Mina Aino/Sailor Venus
"The legend of the mask is something of the past. This face is more beautiful. The last senshi to appear is Sailor Venus!" ~Name: Mina Aino ~Japanese name: Aino Minako (eye-noh mee-nah-koh) ~Meaning: Beautiful Little Child of Love ~Birthday: October 22 ~Favorite Colors: Red and Yellow ~Favorite Animal: Bird ~Favorite Food: Curry Rice, Ramen, or any other pasta ~Least Favorite Food: Mushrooms ~Favorite Subject: PE ~Least Favorite Subject: Math ~Hobbies: Sports, Gymnastics and Dance ~Stong Points: Very friendly and outgoing, strong leadership abilities. ~Has trouble with: Mommy and the Police ~Dream: Becoming an idol ~Gem Stone: Topaz Mina is just an all around friendly person, she's always there for the other scouts giving advice and comfort when needed. As Sailor Venus, she has the power of Love. Like Serena, she has a guardian cat named Artemis. Mina didn't always live in Japan. In fact, when she found out about her destiny as a Sailor Soldier, she was living in England with her parents. She was a really good Volleyball player, but when she moved to Tokyo she had to give up the sport. One day when Mina was in her 7th grade gym class, she came across a little white cat with a crescent moon on his forehead. This cat, of course, was Artemis. Mina was now Sailor V, defender of England and the world! Sailor V attacked mostly with things that involved the moon. Artemis met Mina long before Luna met Serena, in fact, Serena practically worshipped Sailor V before she even dreamed about being a sailor scout. When Mina became Sailor V, her life changed drastically. She had hardly any time for anything else, so her grades suffered (not like they didn't already) and she lost a bunch of friends. People thought she was some kind of freak that hated people or something because she was just never around. Mina still had 2 freinds, though, Katarina and Alan. Katarina was an agent from Interpol, and she and Sailor V fought villains together. Mina liked Alan, as in liked, and even grew to love him. A lot. But then one day, when Sailor V and Katarina were fighting a villain together, Sailor V ran into a building that was burning in pursuit of the villain and it collapsed on her. She was okay, but Katarina didn't know that. When she crawled out of the wreckage she saw Alan and Katarina hugging, part concerned for Mina but part affectionate. Right then she realized that Alan really loved Katarina, and not her, and to prevent causing any conflict she never let either of them know she was alive. She loved him so dearly she let him go so he'd be happiest. From that day on, she never fought as Sailor V again. Shortly after her 'death,' Mina moved to Japan. There she met up with the Sailor Scouts, and is re-named Sailor Venus. In the episode that she appears for the first time, 'Sailor V Makes a Scene,' she makes her entrance with her Sailor V mask on, but takes it off saying that she is now known as Sailor Venus. The scouts think that she might be the moon princess for a while, but not long. Most people think that Mina is just a klutz and a ditz, and in most ways, they're right. This description was bestowed upon Mina mostly because of the episode "No Thanks, Nurse Venus!" In this episode, a flu bug caused by the negaverse has infected all of the scouts except for Mina, and she goes to each of the scouts houses to check up on them and try to help out. Keyword: Try. In one scene, she comences to fling Rei out of bed, spill hot soup all over her and blow up her stereo. But you have to remember, it was all in her best intrest, she just wanted to help out!! She saves the day in the end, anyway. In short, Mina is a guy-crazy, friendly, athletic, all around nice chica. |
