So far, there's not much to know about this deeply misunderstood ("I'm not bad; I'm just drawn that way!") character. He's the son of Sheriff Jim Valenti, a man who has a SERIOUS hard-on for uncovering the aliens in Roswell. His grandfather was similarly obsessed, so now Sheriff Valenti and his son have to live down Pa Valenti's wacky reputation. Kyle used to be dating Liz Parker, a sweet and smart girl in his school, before she dumped him for Max Evans, a weird kid with big ears and some secrets he's not telling. Max has a babe sister, Isabel, and an antisocial best friend, Michael Guerin, who come under Kyle's suspicion radar too. Poor Kyle gets no respect, not even from Liz' chatty best friend, Maria DeLuca, or their goofball musician buddy, Alex Whitman. Kyle and his father are the only regular characters who don't know the score about what's going on, but both of them are eager to find out, for various reasons. Kyle is a mystery, mostly your typical jock thug, but occasionally he shows signs of compassion and depth. As a bad guy, he's just not very interesting so far. But as an antihero, he has the potential to be a deeply flawed yet fiercely loyal and protective friend to Liz, Max, and the others. Only time will tell how he will react when and if he finds out what's REALLY going on in Roswell.
